Vicki Hoyle remembered
back to our Saints page  

Vicki Sue Hoyle, 61, of Katy, left her earthly life to her eternal life at 9:15 pm Thursday, November 17, 2011 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 3, 1950, in Butler, PA, to William and Luella Stewart.

Throughout her life, Vicki ministered to children and their families. Vicki graduated with Bachelor of Religious Education from Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA in 1972. She worked at Capitol Baptist Academy as a fifth grade teacher from 1972-1975. Vicki was the director of the Church of the Redeemer Preschool from 1983-1988, and was the director of the Child Enrichment Center at Kingsland Baptist from 1990-1998. From 1998 to the present she has been the Children's Minister at Kingsland Baptist Church.

Vicki enriched thousands of lives with her teaching
and her Godly example, urging others to love God
and one another.


Mrs. Hoyle is survived by her husband, Steven E. Hoyle, whom she married on June 14th, 1975. She is also survived by her mother, Luella Stewart; her daughter Rachel Davis and son-in-law Mike Davis; her daughter Christine St. Amant and son-in-law Brent St. Amant; her daughter Catherine Sauer and son-in-law Jason Sauer; her brothers Rick and Barry Stewart; her sister Donna Vantine; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father William Stewart and her brother Bradley Stewart.


Friends and family will be received from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Kingsland Baptist Church, 20555 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77450 where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011, with Rev. Alex Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.

The family suggests donations be made to the Children's Ministry at Kingsland Baptist Church, or South Texas Children's Home, P.O. Box 1210, Beeville, TX 78104-1210.
